J'adore Audrey Hepburn, Lucille Ball, Eva Gabor, Audrey Meadows, Julie Andrews, Maggie Smith, Betty White, Judith Light, Catherine Tate, Joanne Froggatt, and Lady Gaga. They each inspire me and remind me to spread love and joy to others. This isn't to say I don't look up to other women as well, because I do, but these, in particular have struck a chord with me so I hold them near and dear to my heart. Everyone has their favourites, right? And now some fun facts about yours truly!
♥ I’m an Indo-Guyanese, proud of my heritage and equally proud to be associated with the Caribbean, British and American communities. Naturally I have a few accents which I whip out on occasion.
♥ The first impression I seem to give is that of one who is timid but underneath the calm, reserved exterior I maintain there lies a girl with a lot of spirit, spontaneity and a big heart. At least I like to think so :)
♥ I call myself a freelance journalist. You know Barbara Walters? Yeah, I want her job!
♥ TV shows from the 50s to early 90s are my guilty pleasure (I Love Lucy, The Honeymooners, Green Acres, I Dream of Jeannie, Leave it to Beaver, Who’s the Boss?, Blossom, Bewitched, The Brady Bunch, etc. to name a few) I’m a sucker for these cheesy things. I also live for any British period drama. Currently obsessed with Downton Abbey! Go watch it!
♥ I quite enjoy a good champagne!
♥ Laughing is my favourite thing to do.
♥ I’ve met Judith Light a number of times! We’re BFFs now! She probably thinks I'm a crazy fan. She'd be absolutely right :)
♥ My Granny is my favourite person in the world! She thinks I'm perfect, I think she is too.
♥ I try to learn something new everyday and grow from it. Chances are I do.
